Ginkgo’s cell free protein synthesis (CFPS) kit is an E. coli transcription/translation system optimized to produce proteins from a T7 RNA polymerase promoter. Reactions consist of a bacterial cell lysate and a reagent mix that contain all components required for protein production; the user must simply provide a DNA template that encodes the protein of interest under control of a T7 promoter. The system is easy-to-use, produces protein within a few hours, and is compatible with high-throughput liquid handling and automation platforms. Protein yield and function can be evaluated in solution or following purification.1 mL kit enables user to run 100 reactions of 10 µL, 20 reactions of 50 µL, or user can scale reaction volumes to their own specifications. Storage at -80° C.

This product is a simple detection kit by plate assay for senescence-associated beta-galactosidase (SA-β-gal) activity which is used as a marker for senescent cells. By simply adding SPiDER-Gal, a reagent for detection of β-galactosidase, to 96 well plates, this kit allows you to quantify SA-β-gal activity and makes it possible to evaluate multiple specimens. When normalization is done by the results obtained by counting cells, quantifying nucleic acids, or quantifying proteins, the measured values obtained using this kit become available for evaluating SA-β-gal activity according to cell number.
